The wheel wash showing it cleaning power, jets of water hit the truck from both the sides and bottom to cleaning the underside of the truck completely
This is an earlier version of the wheel wash, the platform is painted unlike the new wheel wash with its fully galvanised platform
The fully galvanised platform on the wheel wash, shown here is the spray pattern on the lower side of the wheel wash platform
A truck approaching the wheel wash at a refuse site, the truck is lined up straight ready to cross the wheel wash
The fold up ramps on the wheel wash 'massage' dirt out of the tyres, the ramps can also be lifted for cleaning and maintenance
The rotary wheel wash platform system on an earlier generation platform
The platform can be folded down for easier transport, the wheel wash tank, platform, sump etc can all be transported in on one truck.
Wheel wash installation, on an earlier version of the wheel wash. with many years in the wheel wash industry there is going to be evolution, the engine unit is not in the clarifier base....
A standard site modern instalation wheel washwith the galvanised platform and engine under clarifier.
Water running off the the platform collects in the sump tank, first phase of the water cleaning process on the wheel washer, the basket in the top of the tank collects the large particles, the water is then pumped in to the clarifier.
The Basket in the sump tank allows collection of large debris from the wheel wash
The weir water cleaning system inside the clarifier settles the water out, allowing the water to be used again on the wheel washer
The six inch connector allow cleaning via a suction tanker or in to a prepared skip
The water tank holding 25,000 litre's of water fo use by the wheel washer
A further settling tank is avalible(dependant on space), by the use of a lagoon
The modern diesel engine pumping unit, which pushes the water on the platform of the wheel wash
A modern electric engine pumping unit, which pushes the water on the platform of the wheel wash
Wash down gun on the wheel washer Wash down gun on the wheel washer, for use by driver to clean other parts of the trucks

The 'cabin' pumping house on earlier generation pumping house's, the wheel wash engine room is now compact and in the end of the clarifier
